I collect... Keys!
and these are my two new babies!!! ;)
actually a great idea to display my collection came from a movie called "mirror mask"
in one of the scenes the main character is desperately looking for a key that opens a specific "crate" where a token is hidden. There is a sort of tower of cast or some other type of material and every piece has a small keyhole
hmm
I guess you have to see it to understand it
but it looked quite impressive and not very hard to do!
if you are an excentric person, capable of building such a piece with keyholes
I bet that it would look rather interesting =)
here the trailer for the movie MIRROR MASK

my office desk!
work work work...
is not as hard if you sit in a nice office like this
I sent this picture proudly to the people I am closest to.
I live far way from my family so it was important for them to see how my new workplace looks like.
I am currently working in a translation office doing a lot of administrational tasks and some reviewing of texts. So far it has been going very well!

working the weakness out!

When I'm depressed I feel really miserable and I tend not to move out of my room for days. But the best way to combat that misery is to workout and start feeling better in no time.
Step 1: The trick is finding a workout you like (DVD, youtube etc.), or a person who you can workout with.
this will keep you extra motivated and will make you want to workout more often
step 2: Do it regularly. (EVERY DAY IF YOU CAN)
step 3: boost your motivation by telling everyone you are doing a workout routine everyday. Or just start saying to yourself or others before you workout how you love it and how bad you need it.
(this is just a little psychological trick you can play with your mind. Trust me! it works!)
So now in front of your laptop start by searching what workout videos you enjoy
(fight, dance or aerobics)
There is a lot of offer out there. I found one you can download directly (free) here
keep in mind that the important thing is to start right away
or else you'll forget!!! Start to workout and feel GREAT!

little fortune
Trying to surround myself with good new things
forget and forgive
seeing how fortunate I am
that the man I was with did not abandon me when it would have been even harder to survive

spending
ooooh love this so much:
feel the funk baby!

Read the first five or six pages from Siri Hustvedts "The Shaking Woman" and loved it.
The cover is so beautiful. It immediately caught my eye in the bookstore.
It must be strange to start reading Siri Hustvedt by beginning with an autobiography. But the idea that she did a lot of research to really understand and get into neuroscience really appeals to me.
Will buy that some time, don't know when. Need to control my spending a little :/ Already spent 35 euros on amazon today! AND NOT ON BOOKS!
I wish I were on the Amazon affiliates program! haha
update: just applied!! maybe and just maybe it will work out!

Just watched NY I love you. And now I'm listening to The Wiseguys...
Almost feels like I am there in NY!!!
I can feel the smell of that drugstore I went to. And taste the taste of that cream cheese bagel across from the empire state building. See the cops staring really seriously. Seeing the Pakistani selling hoody's on the street. People. Thousands walking us by.
Oh man what a city. I do love you!
The picture above is from the film, from the segment by the director Fatih Akin
have a great day!

the weirdest cat
In spring it's so easy to see things that make you smile and make you feel happy.
Like when you are outside and the sun shines and the birds chirp.
Or when you stay in bed the entire day with your loved one and feel like time should stop right there.
Or when you're enjoying wearing really bright make-up like Limecrime from limecrimemakeup.com
Then you randomly find a blogpost about a cat that eats fruit and think "wow! that cat really is something extraordinary! cats usually hate healthy stuff!"These are small things in life that make me smile.
It just makes my day finding ordinary or extraordinary nice things everywhere I look, even if it means finding them online!
So go and check the cute cat here.

Jamie Lidell and new Home in Vienna!
[shot in Vienna, near the state opera house]
I am posting this video because I am so fond of Jamie Lidell's music, but also because I used to live where this video clip was shot at. From my bedroom window I could see exactly what is shown on the Video.
Now I live in a quiet street, from my window I can see 3 trees, but there are no birds =( , and a modern styled building which I quite like. I barely get any direct sunlight - which makes me a little sad. But we have our own kitchen and bathroom which is a relief !
The walls are thick in comparison to my old home, I rarely hear my neighbours!
Actually I have no complaints at all until now, it is so quiet here that I don't even know many people yet.
I have two Portuguese friends in Vienna on Erasmus, and two more will come next semester, I can't wait!!!
